Mental Health Training & Well-Being Workshop Testimonials
“I really liked the session. I must admit I did feel a little anxious beforehand as you are never quite sure what will be required from you but Mel put me at ease very quickly. She is very personable, open and confident in her field. It is always nice to be reminded to be good to yourself. The practical outtakes from the meeting were very useful and will allow me to use these day-to-day.
“Really good for putting the everyday worries into perspective.”
“I thought it was great – very informative and uplifting."
“Thought it was really useful, she’s got a great personality, she was great!"
"Personally it was interesting to hear the science behind each symptom of stress/anxiety, it’s not particularly something you (or I at least) consider when hearing conversation about mental health etc”
“I thought the session was fantastic. Not only did I find the content fascinating, the delivery was really, really good. It’s a shame we can’t get Mel in more often to delve deeper into each of the subjects we covered."
"I personally thoroughly enjoyed the session. The “science” side of things was very interesting and the techniques you showed us will come in very useful. Great session, well done."
"I found it really useful and inspiring. I think it is so important to educate people about mental health, especially in the work place. I found Mel was very passionate and relatable [...] I would like this to be at least a monthly thing if we can."
"I thought it was really useful and I really appreciated the fact it had been organised – it felt like a great bit of support from an HR point of view and I thought it was pretty well attended. Mel was really personable and well organised with resources and pp presentation to aid her. If there’s a chance to organise any more sessions every month or couple of months with a focus on work-related stress/anxiety or mindfulness I think it would have a big take up."
"I just want to say thank you for putting the opportunity on. The mental well-being of staff here should be at the forefront and this in my opinion was very much a step in the right direction in improving this provision. The fact that there was a range of staff from across the organisation in the room shows to me that mental health and well-being impacts everyone. The session itself I thought was well executed and was a good mix of info being offered and practical activities. These activities challenged me – I went along thinking that this was to help me recognise signs of anxiety in others and I actually discovered through this training that some of the behaviours and challenges I have could be signs of anxiety in myself. I thought it was very useful and would definitely attend further workshops if they were on offer. Thank you to Melanie, she was knowledgeable and put everyone at ease when some of us (me) were perhaps feeling a little out of our comfort zone in a situation such as this."
Private Counselling & Coaching Testimonials
"I never really understood what counselling was or involved before these sessions but I'm so grateful I went. I was stuck in the same rut feeling lost; unable to talk or understand how I was feeling, never mind express to others how I was struggling eating/sleeping. This has honestly been the best decision I have made- things just seem to make sense now. The changes I have made since have been unrecognisable. I’ve moved house, changed my job, made plans for the future and most importantly looked after and put myself first. I couldn’t have done any of that without the help of Melanie. The sessions are a safe place with no judgement, somebody impartial to listen and help make sense of things and get you back on track. Thank you Melanie once again for making me feel like me again."
