What is Therapy?
The main aim of any therapy is to facilitate positive change. Therapy can be very helpful in improving or changing relationships, dealing with painful emotions and facing difficult decisions. Therapy can help people to develop a stronger sense of self and better understanding of others.
Integrative Counselling
Integrative Counselling is a combined approach to talking therapy which is rooted in the core conditions of empathy, non-judgement and genuineness. An integrative therapist utilises techniques and tools from many different schools of psychological theory, for example Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Gestalt Theory and Creative Therapy, to adapt each session to individual clients. Each therapy session lasts 50 minutes. Clients typically attend 6-8 sessions.
Person-Centred Counselling
Person-Centred Therapy is a humanistic approach to counselling which is very client orientated. A person centred therapist supports the clients to find their own solutions to issues in their lives. The therapist acts as a compassionate facilitator, by listening without judgment and acknowledging the client’s experience. Person-Centred counselling can help the individual build a better sense of self and a stronger ability to make, and trust, their own decisions. Each therapy session lasts 50 minutes. Clients typically attend 6-8 sessions.
Solution-Focussed Hypnotherapy
Solution-Focused Hypnotherapy is concerned with addressing the solution rather than the problem. The therapy recognises the uniqueness of each person's specific needs, therefore sessions are tailored to assist each client to work towards their own goal. Solution-Focussed Hypnotherapy is delivered in a way so as to facilitate change. The therapy involves the client being induced into a relaxed state. Sessions can range from one-two hours, and can be 'one offs' or a series of sessions, depending upon the issues being addressed.
Well-Being Coaching
Well-Being Coaching provides highly personalised help to enable clients to achieve their life goals. These include, but are not limited too health, family, wealth and career. A Well-Being Coach aims to facilitate the client to overcome any perceived barriers in their lives and eliminate any sense of 'stuckness' the client may be experiencing. Creative techniques and resources are often used in the sessions. Sessions typically last 90 minutes, with the number of sessions being negotiable.
